Over the weekend, Medipulih Klinik had the privilege of joining hands with local businesses right in our neighbourhood in a community event held at Amara Space, MITC Ayer Keroh. As a clinic, we believe strongly in supporting local businesses, especially those close to us, and this event was a wonderful way to connect with our neighbours while promoting health and wellness together.

The Zumba session was filled with energy, laughter, and movement led by the passionate instructors from The Señorita. Most of the participants were inspiring ladies who showed that staying active has no age limit. With Pink October just around the corner, this event also highlighted the importance of women’s health and how physical activity plays a big role in preventing chronic diseases, maintaining mobility, and boosting overall wellbeing.

Physical activities like Zumba are not only fun, but they also help to improve cardiovascular health, lower stress levels, and support healthy weight. Just as important, they make the mind feel lighter and happier. It’s also a form of social connection exercising together, encouraging each other, and building a healthier community.

As part of the event, Medipulih Klinik also set up a booth to provide basic health screening for the participants. We offered checks on blood pressure, SPO2 (oxygen level), BMI, blood sugar levels and free consultation. These screenings are vital because many people may not realise they are at risk of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or obesity until they get tested. A few participants did record higher readings, which shows just how important regular health checkups are early detection can make a big difference in managing and preventing long term health issues.

We are grateful for the warm welcome from local businesses team and the participants, and proud to support our neighbours in this initiative. By collaborating with local businesses, we not only strengthen community ties but also create more opportunities to spread awareness about health.
